Xiangping Zou

Xiangping Zou is a senior professor in the Composition faculty of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. Born in 1951, he was admitted to study in piano at the Sichuan Conservatory in 1962, and graduated in 1989 with a Master’s degree in Composition /Theory.

Between 1997 and 1999, Professor Zou was awarded a research grant by the Asian Cultural Council U.S. as a visiting composer, and the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia as senior Visiting Scholar to go on a 16-month study and lecture at the University of California San Diego, and the University of Miami.
