This CD recording features Keith Zimmerman on soprano
and alto saxophones. He earned degrees in saxophone
performance from Illinois Wesleyan University and did
graduate study with American concert saxophone pioneer
Cecil Leeson at Ball State University. He also studied
with Canadian concert saxophonist Paul Brodie, and, as
the recipient of a scholarship from the French Ministry
of Culture, he pursued extensive post-graduate study in
France with Daniel Deffayet, professor of saxophone at
the Paris National Conservatory.
Zimmerman is a founding member of the World Saxophone
Congress and the North American Saxophone Alliance.
He has frequently performed for regional, national, and
international meetings of those bodies. He has appeared
in concert in Canada, France, England, and Germany and
many parts of the U.S. as a soprano, alto, and tenor
saxophonist.
Zimmerman is joined on this recording by Andrea
Molina, piano, and the Illinois Saxophone Quintet.
