Robert Stephenson was principal oboe of the Utah Symphony for 41 years prior to his retirement in 2021. He has taken the famous folktale of a race between a rabbit and a tortoise, put his own modern take on the text, and added music for an instrumental ensemble of flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon, with a narrator to make a wonderful, entertaining performance. The story of the race between the primary characters "Tallulah the Tortoise" and "Jack Rabbitoni" is approximately 15 minutes.
