McGee: Flight of Fancy for Flute and Piano

After spending a year writing a very difficult atonal sonata for clarinet, the composer wanted to write a simple tonal piece for flute. From this, Flight of Fancy arose. In it, he explores shifting tonal centers which give the piece its sparkle. Flight of Fancy was first performed at the Composers' Concert series in Saint Paul, Minnesota in April of 2014. Duration approx. 6 minutes.
