Alberto Guidobaldi was born in 1967 in Italy, but has
resided in Puerto Rico since 1993. His musical studies
began in the "Scuola di Musica Arturo Toscanini" in Savona,
Italy, where he studied piano and accordion. In June 2006,
he graduated 'Summa cum Laude'at the Conservatory of Music
of Puerto Rico (CMPR) completing a Degree in Music with an
emphasis in composition under the guidance of Professors
Armando Ramirez, Alfonso Fuentes, Sonia Morales and the
late professor Roberto Milano.
5, 3 and 2 for Saxophone Quartet was composed in
2004 in honor of Wilfredo Corps, professor of saxophone at
the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, and his many
years of teaching at the Conservatory. The music was
premiered by Prof. Corps' saxophone quartet, Conservsax.
Very "jazzy" rhythms and style, fun to play, great encore,
technique not difficult. Duration: approximately 2
