Bartok originally composed this work for piano in 1908 but the music has been arranged for many different instruments. This edition has been adapted for oboe and piano by Valarie Anderson. Although the rhythms are sometimes complex, the general technique is not difficult. The total duration for all three movements is just over 3 minutes.
