Many musical compositions have been created because of inspiration, a specific occasion, or even a specific combination of instruments. For more than 50 years the Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop in Arcata, California has been providing chamber music opportunities for young classical music lovers. Housing one of the country’s largest libraries for classical chamber music, California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, in Arcata, contains thousands of works ranging from two to more than a dozen players. One combination is woefully missing! Robert Stephenson introduces this new trio for flute, clarinet, and horn (or English horn). Just under 5 minutes, it will be a pleasant addition to any program.
