Little is known of the origin of this pleasant sonata.
Some scholars believe it to be of doubtful authenticity.
The first published edition by J.J. Hummel was available
by 1800, although it is questionable that it was published
during Mozart's life. This new edition has been edited by
Valarie Anderson. There are 3 movements that can also
be played on two bassoons or two cellos as well as the
combination of bassoon and cello. Individual parts for
each instrument are included as well as 1 score that can
be used for performance. Approximately 3 minutes for each
movement with a total duration of 9.5 minutes.
