Continue ShoppingP. Brent Register received his Bachelor of Music Education and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His Master of Music degree is from the Manhattan School of Music. He has studied additionally at the Mannes College of Music, the University of Oslo, and the Norges Musikkhogskolen in Oslo. As a composer, Brent’s works include Songs of the Chinese Poets for tenor, oboe, and clarinet, Pausing at the Border for tenor, piccolo/flute/alto flute, and piano, Evening Peace for soprano, tenor, baritone, oboe, bassoon, and piano, Symposium for orchestra, The Mirror for soprano, flute, and piano, The Silence Flowering its Birdsong for tenor, English horn, and piano, The Gatherer of Lost Children for soprano, oboe, violoncello, piano, and percussion, and Where Birds Dwell for male chorus and piano. Additional publications include editing Alec Templeton’s Trio for flute, oboe, and piano and arranging Touring the Hispanic World, a multi-volume set for two flutes and guitar.
In 2018, Brent Register won the National Flute Association Newly Published Music Competition for his Bedtime Stories for Soprano, Flute, Oboe, Cello and Piano (JP5130 Jeanne Music Publications)
