This famous solo was composed for the graduation and solo competition for the Paris Conservatory in 1901. Its great use of the clarinet has made it a favorite ever since then. The work includes an opening cadenza, a beautiful Largo, an intense Allegro, and a technical finale.

This new edition is one of the Jeanne Master Class Series. It includes extensive performance suggestions and high register fingerings by John Anderson.
